SIMPLIFYING ALGEBRAIC EXPRESSIONS

My task

To explain algebraic expressions, Simplifying algebraic expressions using multiplication and division and simplifying algebraic expressions using addition and multiplacation.

Algebraic Expressions
An algebraic expression is when you replace any number with a letter for example you could work out how much money can be shared around by replacing the number of people with p making the equation $100 divided by p. Another thing you could find out is how many hours you have worked by replacing the number of hours working with h and the earnings $40 and the equation is now 40xh.
P.S the letter used can be any letter but it is better if it related to the topic.

simplifying algebraic expressions using addition and subtraction
Adding algebraic expressions is just like adding normal numbers heres an example 2y+6y=8y but if you were to have more than two different letters it would be like this, 2x+4y+3x= 5x+4y this works by adding 2x and 3x which equals 5x which becomes 5x+4y, you just have to remember that the letters have to be alphebetical order. Subtracting works in the same way here`s an example 6m-3m=3m. you can also mix them together for example 2m+5m+6n-n=7m+5n.
P.S if a letter is alone like in the last example it is then called 1.

Simplifying algebraic expressions using multiplication and division
Using multiplication is a little more complicated, lets start with a simple example 2xm=2m to answer this you just remove the multiplication sign and put the numeral and the letter are together. Now lets try a harder one 4x2xmxn=8mn for this one you just times 4 by 2 which equals 8 and then just add the m and the n to the 8 in alphabetical order making the answer 8mn. division is probably the hardest one, but when dividing you just divide the letter and the number for example n/3= n over 3 or mx4/2=4m over 2.
P.S (/) is equivalent to divide
